Throwing punches when Paul’s nowhere near? It looked like Joshua was half blind in the third and fourth round.
Not throwing body shots or uppercuts, telegraphing the big punches he did throw, not using his size or weight which he used much more against Usyk. Joshua isn’t that bad all of a sudden, and I was thinking he was worse than most.

 

He didn’t look like he was trying very hard at all to me, even he isn’t that slow or poor at cutting off the ring.

 

It was a very expensive sparring session. Joshua didn’t go full force but was throwing punches. Paul got some rnds in. Yes Joshua carried him into later rnds. It went far enough and he decided to end it.

That is the fight in a nutshell.

 

But he wasn’t throwing punches like he was trying to take him out, he was clearly carrying him. Paul stopped moving plenty of times long enough to get hit, no body shots, nothing, Joshua just cruised around knowing he can more or less take him out at will if he gets nasty.
He doesn’t have any obligation to go at him and try and take his head off with the first punch he throws but it stinks when people are betting on it and it’s being promoted as a proper fight. AJ with his I’m gonna kill him BS

He showed some heart and chin even though it doesn't look like Joshua put more than 60% into his punches and just generally went on easy on him...

So if he fights another real fighter who's closer to his own size?
It'll realistically get attention.

If he'd been blown out in one (or seen the final bell and got a set of obviously cooked cards) then that would've damaged the future of the storyline more, potentially?


It's still a circus farce, once again, but when has that ever stopped people watching it?

If I were a professional boxer I'd be really pissed that this poser, this fraud, getting these big fights not having fought any live body, making a mockery of this sport, turning it into a WWE farce, running around the ring and falling to the canvas every time danger loomed. What a disgrace!
