The old wily vet against the younger southpaw puncher. Does Hopkins outclass Moorer in the same way that he schooled Tarver and Pavlik or could Moorer find a way to win by KO?

Moorer IMO. I think Moorer was a more powerful fighter than Tarver. Hopkins was excellent but i think he would struggle with Moorer's speed. Remember Moorer was a young quick light heavy while Tarver was a 30 something guy who was still excellent but maybe not as quick as a 20 something Moorer.

Moorer by decision with him scoring a knockdown along the way.

Moorer. The man was explosive for a light heavyweight. You saw what a puncher he was at heavyweight. Hopkins hasn't seen that kind of power.

I think Hopkins might get a points win out of this. Moorer would be very dangerous but Bernard had far greater ring smarts, was defensive minded and very durable.

Hopkins. Moorer could be predictable and lethargic.

Moorer at LHW would be like nothing Bernard had seen. Maybe his cagieness could get him to the final bell. But, I kind of doubt it. Moorer would have mowed down every opponent Bernard faced. Guys like Pascal and Shumenov would have been destroyed in short order. The only really impressive Light Heavy win for Bernard was Tarver. And, Tarver looked like garbage that night. He had gotten too Hollywood and figured he didn't need to train for Old Hopkins. The Tarver who beat Jones would have beaten Hopkins, too.

lol Hopkins wouldn’t last three rounds with Moorer. Moorer was a killer at light heavy and would beat the foulness out of Hopkins.

Moorer by KO .His punching power would be a too much for Hopkins.

MM and those accurate hands of his are going to score a lot. Hard for Hopkins to win rounds since he is hardly a busy type fighter and would be playing lots of defense against this opponent anyway. That under rated jab of Moorer would set the table for the fight.

Hopkins hangs in there but does not win many rounds. Just do not picture Hopkins landing more than a third of what he would getting hit with.

Moorer wins. The only question is whether Hopkins makes it to the finishing line.
