Saunders was throwing and landing shots and would have beat the crap out of Jake Paul.

 

There wasn't much in the first 4 rounds. There were not many landed punches. There's an argument Jake won rounds 1 and 4.

Fair play. It's a fight I think we can all agree he shouldn't have taken.

I wonder what his next move is gonna be. He has some solid options with Hearn if he wants them (title shot with Wardley for example).

 

It's not easy to look good against Jake Paul. He sets traps, uses footwork to avoid being hit, and occasionally lands a big shot. If Jake had a slightly better gas tank he might have made it 8 and won enough rounds to win a decision, as crazy as that may sound.

 

I think it's worked out quite well for him

I wasn't really scoring it but Jake landed a number of big shots in several rounds. They didn't seem to bother AJ but they did land pretty well. The strategy was to not let AJ land many punches, frustrate the bigger man, and load up with big shots when the opportunity presented itself. The first 4 were very competitive, I have to give credit to Jake to give it a go. This was not an easy task for such a smaller guy to fight a Heavyweight Giant like AJ. The size difference was significant but he hung in there for the most part. Of course the sloppy flopping around and hugging legs and such was hilarious but that's how Jake rolls. This was a huge risk for Jake and he paid a heavy price. But I gotta admire the fighting spirit and the enthusiasm to go out there and fight in a way that he thought he coud be successful. It was hugely entertaining, Jake showed a ton of guts and heart and that should be commended. Some of his other antics not so much but I can't hate on a man who went out there and put it all on the line against a much bigger proven legitimate Heavyweight.

 

lol Who did Joshua just knock out again? A tired Jake Paul. Before Paul got tired Joshua was so off balanced trying to land a big shot he was falling into the ropes. Reading this thread you would think he ko’ed Ali with a right hand.

 

joshua is still overrated even now. Perhaps the most overrated heavyweight of his generation

 

But Jake was dancing up until the Ko..put in a smaller fighter with elite movement and they decision this bum easy.

Wilder was always a clear level or two below.

Besides, he struggled at his peak with a glass jawed fighter trying to avoid engagement (until that fighter started trying to actually win and got caught)... And that took him until round 9.

So now that he's declined further, he's going to do a great job of chasing a bicycling weasel with what looks like a better chin around a bigger ring and get it done in 8?


The only way you can argue Wilder does better is if you think Joshua was holding back to avoid hurting Paul too bad - and that Wilder wouldn't...
The latter is certainly defensible - the former, I'm not sure is your position?

 

I'm not so sure Wilder doesn't land a quick 1 2 and get him out of there

Either way it was a pretty terrible performance by Anthony Joshua considering the circumstances

 

If wilder wouldn't it would end in a tragedy for jake in the first round , even talking current shot wilder .
Whatever happened to aj in usyk,s camp , it was bad .

Either he failed to learn how to stage a fight or he completely forget there how to box .

I think you agree with me ngannou would dismantle jake badly . And compare aj vs ngannou to aj vs paul .
