This is the question to the old-timers.

Was it considered as some crap staged fight, or sort of WWE?

Or it was considered as a serious battle between the best fighters from different martial arts?

Also school me on other Ali fights (like vs Azado or the planned bout vs Wilt Chamberlain which has never happened).

    Arum crap.

He sold this stuff to the public instead of serious bouts.

Ali-Inoki was an exhibition bout that could have gone traqically wrong as Muhammad incurred nasty injuries on his legs. Muhammad's worst mistake in the ring that did n't have Larry Holmes or Trevor Berbick written on it.

Wilt Chamberlain and Muhammad were interested in an exhibition but the plan folded.

It was about as stupid a move as he could’ve made, especially with a return bout with Norton on the horizon; Pacheco said they had to pack Ali’s legs in ice afterwards because of all the hematomas that developed from Inoki’s ceaseless kicking.

The Alzado exhibition bout was entertaining at least; he had some amateur experience, though Ali was never in danger.

I was young at the time and thought it was going to be scripted especially after Gorilla Monsoon grabbed Ali put an airplane spin on him and through him out of the ring lol

I think Alzado gave Ali a little more than he expected or wanted.
