Tony Yoka: Packing Glass?

Surely it's time for Tony Yoka vs Joe Joyce.

Both are with Frank Warren, and it was talked about about a year ago but then nothing since.

That'd be the perfect fight. Needs to happen after those corrupt judges at the Olympics.

 

It makes sense but Joyce should retire and Yoka should at least give it some thought.

 

Yoka is being built back up for one last roll of the dice from the look of things. Can't say I blame him or his handlers. Division will be wide open again in a year or two whenever Usyk decides to call it a day. At 33 it's not the worst move for guys like him to stay in the game and wait to see what happens.

 

If he couldn't beat Merhy and Takam, he's gatekeeper level.

 

No question. But he's still an Olympic gold medalist from a boxing desert and isn't ancient so he still has more money behind him than most. I have a feeling when the belts splinter off again you'll see figures in the HW division like him involved.
