Akhmedov is still boxing cautiously, wary of the Ghanaian's punching reputation (22 of his 29 wins by KO, albeit versus nothing but Accran bums). Much cleaner shots being scored by the Kazakh despite his economical start, however. Miledzi threw maybe the lumpiest 1-2 from a corner I can ever remember seeing, giving Akhmedov several business' days notice to dodge.

Btw, this may have seemed on paper like an upgrade in opponent quality for Soilybayev (Qochkarov was 6-0 coming in, and Grigoryan is 15-3-1 - but the Armenian has mixed at higher levels in both the amateurs and pros, and had mixed WSB success)

Miledzi's skill level is shocking for a 29-1-1 fighter, even knowing how padded these African records usually are.

 

Miledzi's stance is so tight, shoulders hunched up and tensed. I'd need a 3hr massage after boxing 10rds like that.

 

Akhmedov starting to really connect with spite with the chopping right behind the double jab. Left hooks on the body now too. Miledzi was trapped in a corner and hurt for a chunk of the last half minute of R4.

Akhmedov very sharp with the jab in the 5th. No more cautious pussyfooting around, bringing the fight to Miledzi. Looking more like the undefeated prospect he was before Góngora.
