Probably inoue because he is more proven there, but then again Inoue will never win belts beyond 130. Pacquiao could've been atg level back then. I'd go as far to say current Pacquiao might still beat Inoue if they had a fight at 147 today
I feel like Inoue is a better fighter at that weight than Pac was at that point in his career… But that’s just a few pounds short of and not long before Pac was fighting the likes of MAB, JMM, and Morales… and I know some on the forum like to hold Fulton up as a pound for pound ATG win, but uh… I don’t think its comparable to any one of those three, personally…..
It’s a hard fight to call. Manny has a nasty left hook but also don’t think 122 Manny is the same monster he was at his absolute peak. Inoue takes this. Pacs peak is higher though and that version beats Inoue and probably KOs him with a left hook.
I don't think people rate Fulton as an ATG win considering he himself is not a guaranteed HOF fighter, let alone an ATG like the latter 3 you mentioned that Pac fought. More just of a very good win between the #1 fighters at 118/122. The P4P aspect just comes from Fulton being an honorable mention for the 10th spot on the list heading into that fight
For sure it’s not. Although I’d say personally Nery is Inoue’s best 122 win, considering he KOd a fighter on the p4p list, KOd him again and also has a deeper resume than Fulton.
Yeah, I was being sarcastic. There’s not a single bout on Inoue’s resume that compares to several of someone like Pacquiao’s…. His resume quality is more like a Joe Calzaghe (but more impressive with the weight climbing - granted its different when the jumps are in 3-4 lb increments……) than a Pac or Leonards…. Great fighter, just like Joe, but his fans try to overstate the resume - which for an ATG (which he is) leaves something to be desired..(again, by no fault of Inoue’s own) Fantasy match-ups feel weird when its a guy who was tested against the absolute best of the best vs a guy who reigned over a weaker era/division.
PAC didn't have the type of composure that Inonue does despite being even faster and an absolute whirlwind
