Froch and Kessler aren't much better than Callum Smith, Saunders or even a motivated Rocky Fielding

Yep, levels. And there is at least one level between Ward and Canelo. Probably more.

Bad match up for Canelo, way too crafty. Canelo was having a close fight with a passive Plant before he caught him, and a shot Kovalev.

There are very few 168 ATGs I would favor Canelo over..

He would do okay with James Toney because both of their feet would be stuck in the mud.

To me, RJJR, Ward, or Calzaghe would make him look like he didn’t belong in the ring with them…. I’d probably favor Froch over him as well…..

I think things are more interesting for Canelo at 160 and even 154.

He is undersized at 168, and his lack of mobility / struggles with movers seemed to show more at the weight….

…and the guys were talking about arent movers like Scull or Plant, they will be doing damage while moving….

As far as the Froch match up goes, he had better feet than hes given credit for - but more importantly - throwing 1 punch at a time behind a high guard and gassing out late doesn’t seem to bode well against a supremely conditioned big man who has bricks in his hands.

Froch blocked punches with his face and was not a power puncher. Overrated as hell, sloppy fighter with heart and durable but that's it. Groves had him almost out. I would pick Canelo over him.

Canelo would close him down and UD him.

Lucian Bute, Kessler, Groves, and Pascal trump any single name on Canelos resume at 168 or above - unless you count the ghost of Kovalev or losing to Bivol…. And being tough and hard hitting doesn’t get you and keep you at the level Froch spent his career at….while actually testing himself against the best at every turn - something Canelo can’t say.

Canelo above 160 is the definition of over rated… (Bud just jumped two weight classes and outclassed him in his first fight at the weight….)

If Froch isn’t a power puncher, than I’m not sure what to say about Canelo who doesn’t have a single concussive KO at the weight…. Oh also - known juice head…..

I’d love to see what cherry-red, mouth breathing Canelo looks like 10-12 against Froch…..

Obviously bull****, especially the Fiedling part which is just proper trolling.

Carl Froch is a first ballot hall of famer. Straight in the second he was eligible.

You're a big Froch hater as anyone can see by your posts. Upset cause he's said things in the past about your favourites Ward, bum Khan or Joshua were you:llorona:

Not a hater. Just didn't like his arrogance and disrespectful way he talked about other people and how he revelled in their losses.

Froch realised the errors of his ways and went hat in humble hand and reached out Khan and Ward and attempted to reconcile with them. He grew up and matured after being called out for his bitterness.....

Perhaps his die hard fans can show the same humility going forwards too .....

One sided clinic for Ward. Canelo would have no clue how to deal with Ward's style and versatility.

Loading up on every punch won't help Canelo. Ward for sure.
