Who won: Terence Crawford or Israil Madrimov

I tried to watch the fight. It was so boring I turned off the video in the third round.

 

Yes, he’s very good. Calls it down the line. Even when it involves his favorites.

 

I rewatched Madrimov vs Crawford. Had it again for Madrimov in a close fight. It was a draw at least

Crawford was the challenger you can't fight like that and take the title off the champion.

2 American judges, one Canadian, smh. It's about time there was neutral judges in title fights in the USA.

The fight showed that Crawford has no chance against Canelo, it's a money grab. He's not even big enough for Light Middle and that was against a small Light Middle in Madrimov. Look how much better Ortiz was against Madrimov than Crawford.

 

I had Crawford 116-112, but as a few people have already pointed out, it shows how much of a mismatch the Canelo fight will be. He couldn't put any dent in Madrimov, Canelo didn't get hurt by Golovkin or Kovalev, he's going to walk through Crawford.

 

The thing is, Madrimov is light on his feet and throws sneakier and more punches. Canelo while bigger has slow feet and is really just loading up nowadays. The Canelo who fought Saunders or Smith or Plant would murder Crawford, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Crawford pulled this off.

Really? I'd be shocked if it goes the distance. Canelo has slowed down, but Crawford will be two weeks away from his 38th birthday when they fight and is dreadfully inactive; he's nowhere near a 168, and he's going up to fight the best of the best. Not only do I think it'll be a massacre, but it'll be a fight where the ending is that brutal, and people ask how the boxing community thought it was a good idea. I hope I am wrong, but I think it has the potential to play out like Joshua-Ngannou because of the sheer weight difference.

NO way did Crawford take it off the champ conclusively.. Corrupt Judging especially the 116-112 one. Israil deserved at the very least an immediate rematch

 

I agree with Eddie Hearn's comments after the fight..
"It's a waste of time,"
"It's not a 116-112 fight. He's coming into the fight as a champion but because he's fighting Terence Crawford he doesn't get a shake.
"All of the effective punches were coming from Israil Madrimov. Crawford had a good flurry in the last round.
"It was a super close fight I believe you have to come in and take that belt of the champion, Terence Crawford didn't do that and I love him he is brilliant.
"But for me, he [Madrimov] deserves to be champion tonight. It was a fight that could have gone either way and then you hear the scorecards and it's why do you bother kind of thing.
"You lose by four rounds on two of the scorecards, it wasn't that kind of fight.
"I was sitting in the corner, they were so quiet all fight. They knew: 'The twelfth round, we need this'.
"They knew this fight was on a knife edge and you get absolutely zero respect from the judges because it is Terence Crawford.
"He's an amazing fighter, it was a very close fight but as champion, he deserved more respect on those scorecards.
"That was a fight that could have gone either way and it feels like a waste of time when you lose 116-112, it's like they are already filled out before.

 

Hard to take Hearn seriously when he can't be objective when his fighter got clearly beaten by John Ryder
The Callum Smith fight he couldn't say a single thing

 

I had it a draw, but closer to Crawford win if anything. 8-4 not right for me.
