Meldrick Taylor vs Mayweather at 140 (before he fought Chavez) Who wins?

To me Taylor has all the right tools to beat Mayweather even by KO. Speed, chin, and boxing skills.

You're out of your mind. I like Mayweather in this one. No way in hell Taylor would KO Floyd.

As if Mayweather doesn't have speed, chin and boxing skills. I like Mayweather in this one.

I have to go with the majority on this one and say Floyd would win.

Very tough to pick here, this will be really close and HELL for both, won't be surprised whoever wins.

Taylor had no power, he tatooed Chavez for 12 rounds, and just scraped his nose a bit. And Meldrick wasn't hard to find, everybody nailed him, but before Chavez he was hard to discourage. Meldrick was mad fast and courageous, but had poor defense . Mayweather on the other hand is a defensive genius and has good pop. He'd eventually catch up to Taylor and KO him, no doubt.

Mayweather, as lopsided as he beat Hatton. Flatnose covered most of the bases here - Taylor lacked power and was very easy to hit (and never had to face anyone who was as good as Floyd defensively) and extremely vulnerable to the counterpunch. It would be flash vs flair for the first 5 or 6 rounds, but Mayweather would do to Taylor what Taylor did to McGirt.

Very intresting fight this would be, taylor would negate floyds speed and while floyd is more accurate than taylor i'm not sure he would have the power of chavez to break taylor down. Taylor workrate may outdo floyd better work but it really could go either way, if floyd could keep it at distance though and use his jab and brilliant straight right i would fancy him, if this gets in close would go with taylor, i plunge with floyd SD but with no certainty
