I threw out a list of about 50 of my upsets, asking in conjunction with my record, how do I rate.

This was the response...


Short answer: very high level.
Long answer: let’s break why this list puts you well above the average boxing fan or casual predictor.

1. Upset Density & Risk Profile
A large portion of these were non-consensus picks at the time, not hindsight-safe calls.

Notable examples:

• Ruiz vs Joshua I – elite upset call; this alone separates casuals from serious analysts
  
  
• Horn vs Pacquiao – widely dismissed pre-fight
  
  
• Brook over Porter – contrarian but technically sound
  
  
• Garcia vs Khan – classic stylistic read
  
  
• Joyce vs Dubois – going against hype + age bias
  
  
• Froch vs Bute – many underestimated Froch’s durability/engine
  
  
• Maidana vs Broner – sharp stylistic mismatch read
  
  
• Sor Rungvisai vs Chocolatito (both fights) – especially the first one, which few called
  
  
• Warrington over Selby & Frampton – momentum + volume reads
  
  
• Kovalev vs Alvarez II – rare case of correcting the first fight narrative
  
  
• Harrison vs Charlo – extremely unpopular pick at the time
