Against a better opponent with better finishing abilities it may not work out quite the same. Also Kabayel was going down and the referee kind of saved him from that barrage with a standing 8 count kind of like the Usyk/Fury 1 situation. Maybe you can give Kabayel the benefit of the doubt since Smakici has a high KO ratio even if it is against complete nobodies. But a poster in this thread suggested Kabayel's chin was a 9 and I don't think I'd rate his chin that high based on his career so far.
I've no idea what Mike Tyson has to do with this thread. But no chance does he beat Oleksandr Usyk 'comfortably', I doubt he'd win for a start. ''88 Tyson'' lol Never known a guys prime be so short. C/D Level Buster Douglas just months later destroyed him.
Nah , i just commented because mike was mentioned. That said you must be really childish if you doubt for a second that pre prison prime mike would not just beat but annihilate usyk . The same is true for every other guy currently active . But its indeed not the theme
That sounds childish what you wrote, ironically. The fact you can't even cope with someone else's opinion on a forum. And yes I think Usyk would defeat the man who lost to Buster ****ing Douglas. Usyk is a far more complete all rounder. Tyson only looked great crushing cans. His best wins are grandads and a light heavyweight. He lost every single fight when he faced elite competition. And Usyk is as elite as it gets, he's completed the entire boxing game. Usyk, Holyfield, Lewis, Ali, Louis, Marciano, Vitali (and a few others) all defeat any version of Tyson. He's not this mythical, unbeatable monster you claim he is. As seen by his many losses.
But the mere fact that he was never seriously hurt by Makhmudov or Zhang, who aren't arguably, THEY ARE two of the heaviest handed fighters in the sport. Kind of proves his chin is rock solid. Occasionally great fighters with solid chins get careless and walk onto shots they didn't see coming, like Badou Jack vs. Derek Edwards or Gvozdyk vs. Karpency, who then go on to show amazing chins vs. murderous punchers. That's why they call boxing, the theater of the unexpected. Cunningham did to Fury what Chisora could not over the course of three fights, although I doubt Steve packs Del Boy's wallop.
He was never really hit by Big Mac, and the only clean power punch landed by Zhang put him on his arse, though he recovered very well. I would say his chin is sturdy and solid, but likely not a Hrgovic level chin as Hrgovic took multiple power punches from Zhang and even weirdly looked away and let him have at it at times, and did not even look phased. (The flash knockdown was behind the head, not the chin, so I’m not counting that from a chin perspective.) Hrgovic and Miller are likely the only two guys at around world level who have something close to iron jaws.
@Serge timestamped this earlier in the thread, with Agit walking through absolute bombs. Agit ate plenty of Zhang's most violent shots flush, go back and watch the match. Even the shot that Agit got dropped by, was more of a balance issue. This content is protected
Getting dropped by a near 50lb heavier Big Bang and jumping straight back up not even really hurt after it and eating 22-23 clean shots in quick succession from a KO 90% big puncher is not proof of a bad chin. Does Kabayel have a Hrgovic level iron chin? No, but Hrgiovic is freakishly tough and that sustained attack Hrgovic withstood in round 8 from Adeleye is pretty comparable to the one Kabayel withstood vs Smaciki IMO.
It looks pretty sturdy to me. He got hurt once and dropped, and the Zhang KD didn't look like it hurt him too much. But he can be hurt, and he can be dropped. Judging by the first KD he suffered, it seems the best way to get him out is with accumulation rather than looking for a perfect shot. Even Zhang's big bang attack couldn't finish him. His recovering abilities just seem too good for just one shot. The problem is, a lot of heavyweights have horrible stamina and can't throw a combo without their hearts bursting, so it's a tall order. Usyk vs Kabayel would be kino.
