Hope we can get good heavyweight match ups this year.

I am excited for the next crop of heavyweights. Kabayel, Wardley, as well as Opetaia, Itauma, Torrez Jr, Surov, Mullajonov, etc.

Let's move on from this era. Enough of Usyk, Fury, Wilder etc. I might watch Usyk-Wilder at the pub but no way on planet earth am in buying a PPV for this.

Ok, so, according to AI, the ultimate source of this is Daily Mail, which I have heard prints a lot of bollox. I can't see this as being real, because...well...they aren't going to give tickets away. But perhaps even more than that, there really is no place to hold this in the Civic Center area. It's not a sports venue, and would be pretty logistically nightmarish for anyone coming in from out of town.

Well I wasn't there, you'll understand, but according to that 'impeccable source' Eddie Hearn, he said it.

 

Usyk has never been an active fighter. He’s been fighting only once per calendar year, every year, since 2019 (with the lone exception of 2024 when Turki lured him out twice with two 9 figure paydays against Fury). I wouldn’t expect that to change for the rest of his career.

It’s a pretty glaring negative on an otherwise great career.

 

It is a desperate try to fill the arena . It would be not very honorable to see usyk fighting infront of empty seats .

 

Boring and pointless.

Especially against Wilder...

 

So Usyk needs 6 months to fight an unranked 40 year old shot Wilder.
