If Wilder KO's Usyk, is he one of the greatest heavyweights of all time?

What can I say, only the most foolish are still being fooled by Usyk's antics at this point
Fighting Wilder is just the easiest money on the table that has yet to be tapped

 

an all time great? no lol. but a real boost to his legacy proving he'd always have a punchers chance even against the greatest....BUT that wont happen so lets not live in fantasy land. In reality, Wilder is found out against anyone with decent boxing skills

Let's stick with "14 months":

In the last 14 months, Usyk rematched the same two fighters he comfortably beat in the preceding 14 months.

Here is another pattern:

We were told he would fight the winner of Parker v Dubois. Usyk had other ideas. We were told he would fight Parker next. Usyk had other ideas. We were told he would fight the winner of Parker v Wardley. Usyk had other ideas.

 

No. It would be a hell of a feat, and likely the definition of 'it only takes one punch', when talking about heavyweights, but it would likely be a 'lucky' shot so to speak and I'd say its more likely if Wilder KOd Usyk and they fought 2 more times Usyk would win the other 2.

 

Have you seen Wilder fight recently ? He is completely done.

Usyk.....will make Wilder look old and bad. Skill sets....levels....I would give Wilder about a .03% chance of a split decision loss.

 

I don't particularly like Wilder, but this would be a pretty sweet upset. It's very disappointing Usyk is taking this fight, so a cherry pick gone wrong would be a poetic justice. If Usyk was fighting 4 times a year, I could let an easy touch slide, but he fights once a year. We fans should not be accepting of bad fights like this from a champ that is barely active.
If Wilder were to win, he's still not cracking the top 10 all time, and I think Usyk would also be dropped out of consideration for top 10.

 

Wilder has no chance, and even if he won he doesn't crack the top 20, I'd put him above joshua though. At that point he might be in the same position as Fury all time

 

Yes he would. The only real criticism of Wilder’s career is he doesn’t have an elite win on his resume. He brought excitement to the sport. Is arguably considered one of the biggest punchers of all time. He had a long title reign. If he beat Usyk and became undisputed (I think Usyk is still undisputed) then he’s done enough. I can’t see anyway possible that happens though lol.

 

"Beltless Joey" is a former world champion that gave Wilder a one-sided beatdown. Yet Usyk wants to fight the loser of those two?
