There was talk of Benn fighting Roberto Duran back in early 1990. Before the Eubank fight, before the Doug De Witt fight. What happens?
I'd have favoured Benn by then, Fergie. That said I think this footage of them sparing wasnt too far from then, and Duran does ok by my eye - This content is protected Of course, sparing is very different from a competitive fight.
Could have been an interesting fight mate. Duran experienced, tough , seen better days. Benn, young, inexperienced, but hungry. He'd have been up for it. I'll have to have a ponder

By this point I would have picked Duran,Fergy. After the Barkley fight it was all downhill for Roberto.
Glad it didn't. No win situation for Benn .looks good Duran is shot looks bad or loses Benn is all hype. I hoped for a fight with Jackson after beating Bomber. Alas it wasn't to be.
Yep that was Duran's final great victory mate, the Barkley win. That Duran could have given Nige a torrid few rounds.
