I wouldn't say he had a non-existent inside game or that he didn't fight well on the inside, I've seen it said time and time again on this forum but I don't get it, I thought he fought very well on the inside against Williams for example. He's definitely tighter and more technically sound on the inside than George is, and Sonny was as green as grass when Marshall beat him.

Ike Ibeabuchi and Holyfield are the only ones I can think of, maybe not even them.

That argument was so 2025. You still in your feelings about that bro?
Get past that. Write me again when you realize Usyk ain't special, and isn't close to the best the heavyweight division has had.
But Since, you're so single minded about what you think Usyk is, and can't handle a difference of opinion from others who don't see him that way, and they can articulate that point with knowledgeable reasoning based on the history of boxing.
( Not from a "Man Crush" perspective as you do)
I won't expect to hear from you again .
Get over yourself and your ego, and do a real deep dive in the sport.
Perhaps even you can learn something.

And you take the word of Marshall, a fighter Liston would dominate two of the three times they fought , as the final word on Liston's inside game?
Personally that sounds like it fits your agenda than facts.
Especially considering, Liston would go on to beat better fighters than Marshall ever was.
Liston had over 50 pro fights.
Beat all the best of that or his era.
Everyone from Angelo Dundee to Jimmy Jacob's, to Joe Louis pretty much said he had no real weaknesses to his fight game.
Yet, you go off the words of a man he loss to in his 8th pro fight?
    Agenda?
And I'm not a " fan " of Liston, but that doesn't let me ignore what the man was truly capable of in a boxing ring. And what others, men who actually saw him fight live have said.
Respected and knowledgeable men not named Marty Marshall have praised Liston over the years. That should count for something right?

You talk a lot about ego, yet you're the one claiming to see things that world-class trainers and analysts miss. If "knowledgeable reasoning" means ignoring reality to protect your bias, you can keep it. I’m not going to waste my time trying to help you see the obvious.

Would have to slip inside and work the body to take his legs and shut down his ring cutting ability, then counter once he has slowed and work tight uppercuts and hooks inside

Holyfield had the ability but lacked the power to really finish Foreman, Louis is the answer and possibly FOTC Frazier who Foreman himself wondered about

No it's not. Foreman is waytoo overrated. He was a slow one dimensional boxer.

Literally nobody praised Liston for his inside-game. He never beat Marshall on the inside either.

Liston’s excellence was always at long range, he could never fight that well on the inside.

He threw some good body shots in the clinch here and there but thats about it. Williams was actually giving him a tough time up close despite not being a notable in-fighter himself, it was once again Liston’s jab and long range skills that gave him the win. And even when he beat Marshall, he didn’t really do it up close.

Once you start avoiding the hooks, uppercuts and shoves, it's probably pretty easy. And if you have to, just dodge any straight or cross punches or fouls and you should actually be pretty good. The only thing left to weather are the blistering scowls.
