I didn’t get to see the full card but it was refreshing to not see any robberies, unfortunately it’s not because of judges but because they were so one sided fights.

A good ref would have DQ'd that overweight loser that night. Loma won that fight going away.

That performance compared to the performance against padley was so far apart, but at least padley was willing to take his licks for a chance to get at him

Come on now, that’s unnecessary. They are both as ugly as each other.

Didn't get a chance to watch. Just fast forwarded through the fight in 5 mins. Jesus that looked boring.

I agree it was inconsequential but I believe Ortiz deserved and had earned the opportunity to see if he could make it to the final bell and given how little time there was left on the clock there's not a chance in hell he wouldn't of and all the ref had to do was start counting. It wasn't a case of him showing Ortiz mercy because either Ortiz doesn't get up and the fight is over or he does and the fight is over because the bell would've come to his rescue

I suspect refs have a very good feel for how much time is left in a round. How could you not when you've been working 3 minute rounds for years? He would've known there was barely any time left

I descend from a long line of warrior people and the are certain rules that go along with that

Yes I don't think beating Josh Taylor the guy who clearly lost to Catterall the fight before Teo beat him makes a fighter elite. Nor beating Loma who was undersized at 135. Nor do I think losing to Kambosis makes you elite or robbing Martin and Ortiz makes you elite either, or getting busted up by cab driver Claggert and going 12.

I clearly have a totally different idea to what elite means in boxing than you. To me it means a level above non elite fighters not losing or consistently struggling with them. Clowns throw the word elite around too often.

The fact he lost 11-1 to Shakur should be proof enough he was never elite unless you think Shakur can shut out elite fighers.

This is just one of many reasons why the likes of Usyk are such a breathe of fresh air to the sport and worthy of infinite respect, admiration and praise. Such a class act in and out of the ring and such a great ambassador for the sport with none of this grotesque freak show and cringe nonsense we see so often from these attention ***** charismaless narcissists. It's not even entertaining
