Murtalla has the best chance but no one will beat Shakur Stevenson for a long time

 

Someone who is faster than him, bigger at the weight, longer reach, faster straight jab and straight right 1-2 (the key to beat him as he moves back to avoid the jab and the right will land) , good defence , and patient.

The only one that I could see giving him problems would be Keyshawn but they are friends and they have both stated that they wouldn't fight each other. It's a shame cause that would be a great fight.

 

He's a champion across 4 weights and you admit that nobody beats him across two of boxing's most competitive divisions, Bivol has yet to venture beyond 168lbs. If that's not pound for pound superiority, then what is?

 

Now I know you are baised. He cleaned out 126, he cleaned out 130, pretty much chased everyone at 135 - Tank, Loma and Haney wanted no part of him. And now he is a 4 division champion but he is not that good and still needs to prove himself? As for being a social media warrior , the lack of engagement from the so called '4 kings' probably has made him more vocal on socials to the point of arrogance you can say. But wait, he reached out to your hero Fury saying he was the best HW after the destrution of Wilder and since then both have been friends - is that not a redeeming enough for you?

 

Lopez's style was perfect for Stevenson. Head to head he is the best fighter from 135 to 147, however there are fighters who could beat him.

 

GAR would be a good fight but if Puello outboxed him then I think Shakur does too. I really like Dalton Smith but he’s about as good going forward as Teofimo is. He looked clueless against Germain. I can’t see Richardson Hitchins outboxing Shakur for as good as he is, he just doesn’t have the style to beat Shakur. Pitbull or Matias are probably the ones who would give Shakur the hardest fights at the weight but even then I can’t see either pulling off a win.

I’d like to see Shakur fight Muratalla at 135 or GAR as his next fights. The Benn fight does nothing for him. If he wants a UK stadium fight then Noakes would be a brilliant fight.

 

Adrien Broner was a 4-weight world champion. Was he better than Bivol? It's not as revered now as it was 30 years ago, amazing achievement, yes, but it doesn't automatically make him P4P King. Bivol slapped Canelo about, who was the undisputed king at 168, and he's also destroyed Ramirez, who went up to CW and became one of the best in that division. P4P, I don't think Shakur would beat someone like Beterbiev. He doesn't have an A-grade name on his resume, apart from possibly Teo, but Teo should've lost to Sandor Martin so he's not P4P himself. Shakur is definitely top 10 but I'm seeing people put him alongside SRL and Crawford, it's insane.

 

He has a very boring safety first style. No power. There are valid criticisms of his level of comp, some of it is him, his management, or opponents ducking, whatever. He's got a personality that people don't like, but don't love to hate like Mayweather was able to pull off.

It's not fan friendly and never has been. He can't draw, and it's obvious why.

Tank Davis could literally blow up and orphanage and he would outsell Shakur 10x. People want to see action in the ring and not 36 minutes of defensively responsible posturing.

He didn't clean out 126 or 130 at all; I'm not sure what you are referring to here. He didn't even unify the 126 belts, let alone clean it out. His best 126 win was Joet Gonzalez, who was a B-grade (at best) operator; he didn't fight Leo Santa Cruz, Martinez, or Gary Russell Jr, and then decided to move up.

When he moved up to 130, he didn't fight the likes of Navarrete, Roach, or Hector Luis Garcia, and then came in overweight and got stripped of his titles in his first defence. At 135, he fought a guy who was still working as an electrician and spent 12 rounds running around the ring against Edwin DLS. So yes, he does still need to prove himself on that front. Would he have beaten all of those names? I wouldn't have bet against him, but the fact that he never means he didn't clean out any division.

His social media arrogance isn't just about a lack of engagement; he called Sugar Ray Robinson a bum, has no respect for legends of the old school, beat the crap out of some dude at a gas station, hitting him in the back of the head about 4 times when he was on the floor. There is nothing to like about this dude inside or outside the ring. As for the Fury thing, he is not my hero; the Düsseldorf picture is a tongue-in-cheek reference to "Düsseldorf Fury".
