I am very glad I stayed up for this so far, anyone watching the Jarrell Miller fight will know what I mean
Just woke up thinking I’d missed the main event, guess everything’s running over. Keyshawn’s looking a lot more impressive than Jarrell Miller’s hairline.
"You got to hit him, yo" Stevenson looking fantastic and in control so far, but Lopez done a lot better in that 8th round just finished.
9–1 for me. Shakur’s standing right in front of him and Teo still can’t do anything with him yet. Shades of Pernell Whitaker, absolute masterpiece.
11–1 and Shakur never even got out of second gear. Probably could’ve stopped Teo if he really stepped on it, but he stayed disciplined. Think that’s Teo done at this level. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s making headlines for different reasons over the next couple of years.
Absolute masterclass from Shakur. I said he was all wrong for Teo but I didn’t expect complete domination. Expected a comfortable 9-3 type performance. Be surprised if Lopez has even won a round.
Lopez senior was fkn hopeless in the corner. Not that a proper trainer would have made any difference
Get the two most tactical fighters out there, one has Teo snr in his corner, the other has John Fury. Who wins? Nobody
I see Benn got himself in the ring for a confrontation. I can't see Hearn making that fight tbh, not that I would particularly want to see it anyway. Because while Stevenson would obviously stand Benn on his head, outboxing him over 12 round would be about as far it goes, and that's not what we want. We want to see Benn battered and brutally KO'd with Hearn and Bellew crying at ringside.
What's funny about this is they basically refused to even acknowledge Haney, calling him boring yet because Shakur is tiny they would fancy having a go.
Hearn has Lewis Crocker and Josh Kelly, two British world champions at 147/154. Such easy fights to make, especially with how desperate Benn apparently wants to be a world champion. They both easily sell out an arena in the UK. …and they won’t take either. They got away with the Eubank loss because of ‘size’ but they can’t afford another loss for Benn. They’re desperate for a Broner-type opponent to pick up a belt. Someone’s who’s loud & mouthy but essentially not very good. Ironically just like Benn.
