It’s probably a reference to the Jack Russell terrier dog breed we have quite a lot of over here. Terriers have a reputation to be quite vicious.

 

But then again you have different variations of the scouse accent, if you're born around the Chester, Warrington, Saint Helens area it's not nearly as thick as a Nick Ball or Jack Turner.

 

Division feels between generations atm, so probably a good time to push a fighter.
