Commentary was sickening throughout. That said, Figeroa’s work was scrappy and was hard to see him getting the nod on the cards, because Ball’s work, was cleaner. But you could see him grinding Ball down round by round and Ball obviously wanted the bell. Thought the ref should have stopped the fight on the first knockdown and he gave Ball at least 2-3 seconds too long.

Yeah to me as well, due to the cleaner work being nearly 100% from Ball, if there was going to be a knock down or KO I'd have bet the other way, but man that shot was perfectly timed, on the button and Ball did not see it coming - perfect storm!

That blew my theory out of the water about them being respectful if he won! Poor Brandon had to mention how "great" the fans were about 12 times in his post-fight interview to make sure there wasn't a riot.

I mean. He probably needed the KO even in neutral territory. Anyone who thinks he was clearly ahead prior to the KO is smoking crack.

Would've been the same in any UK city, Marvin Hagler got bottled out the ring when he beat Alan Minter, it isn't just Liverpool, but I agree it is very classless and a bad look.

I had it 6-5 Ball, but tbh it could have had a swing of 6 rounds depending on what you liked

Yeah, someone once said, you show me a good loser and I'll show a man I want to fight everyday. But guys need to stay and get interviewed at least.

Great knockout, but even greater sportsmanship from Ball and his fans after the fight.

I hated how Big Frank and co were advertising Ball as the P4P best fighter in Britain heading into this. I don't ever really think about country P4P rankings but I didn't like that.

Credit to Fig though. It was a decent fight but lacked the excitement I was expecting until the finish. Ball's lack of size (reach and height) is a big disadvantage for him and his power is overrated but he can punch. Not sure where he goes from here.
