    Yep. Horrible.

Typical Scouse mentality. Always think the worlds against them.

Lots of us have sat here on forums at events or simply watched main events simply fail to deliver.

Styles don't gel, scorecards dodgy or premature stoppages amongst many gripes often valid.

Fair play both fighters put on a great show, great Saturday nights entertainment .

There's definitely an undercurrent of this in Liverpool, but I've met a fair few who aren't like that. I lived there for years, and the people there are mostly pretty friendly and reasonable, just like any other northern UK city, really. It's unfair to paint an entire city like this. I've seen plenty of boxers jump in the ring and get upset when their good mate has been knocked out; emotions run high.

Coming for ball this, all action and exciting but always taking a few to land himself. Disappointing behaviour at end

I was going to bring that up on the General RBR, but I hesitated and second guessed my ears, because I didn't think someone could make such an idiotic statement.

At least Ball's been saved a potential mauling by Monster. That or a categorical TKO workshop

Ball could start identifying as Nicola and fight Alycia Baumgardner… but he’d still be the smaller guy

Same everywhere mate. Men get way overly invested in sport, and add booze and it turns into tribal nonsense. I’ve seen plenty of people get chinned at events or in pubs just for cheering the “wrong” side. Even pubs are territorial – one’s West Ham, 100 yards away it’s Arsenal, next one Tottenham. Some unaware punter wanders in, celebrates the wrong goal, goes for a **** and gets piled in.

Boxing’s no different. People dress it up as “just banter”, but it’s the same instinct: this is our place, our guy, and if you’re not with us you’re against us. They always justify it with “they’d do the same if I walked into their pub.”

Masculine toxicity is the biggest sign of weakness in any man, to be honest – just look at Tate and the army of insecure wannabes he attracts.

Agree with you about the pubs and football etc but I think the demonisation and therefore the fall in so called toxic masculinity has helped ruin society massively.

I'm sure Figueroa's team were terrified when the 5ft 2" 8 stone Andrew Cain came charging towards them.
