Rico was supposed to fight Joshua on February 14th, but the accident canceled everything. So Turki is rescheduling Rico against Usyk.

 

Verhoeven can take a punch but he,s not a boxer....i,m going with Usyk by tko ( 5-8)

 

Waste of time fight and although it has been discussed for some time now, it hasn't been confirmed by anyone reputable as yet.

 

Well I hope it tanks hard. Who is interested in a foregone conclusion? Odds will reflect it.

I wish everyone interested in boxing would just look at the odds before every fight and if they are too unequal just skip the fight.

The fights they give us don't even have to be top level. They just have to be competitive. I'd way rather watch dave allen fight tkv or whatever similar matchup than watch one of the most talented fighters ever take a non challenge and waste his fading youth while giving all mandatories incentive to further wait and don't fight meaningful fights of their own.

It's a pain.

 

Maybe they should have an open mma/kickboxing fight. That would at least be interesting.

 

Let him do what he wants, just don't let him keep the belts, simple. Shakur just got stripped of his WBC lightweight title for nothing, but Usyk can embark on a circus fight after not fighting for 8 months? Stop holding the division up.

Well if this is true, remember Ali, Mayweather, Fury and Josh’(twice) set the template) for these mixed contests, Gervonta “Jeep” Davis, was also assigned Paul, before becoming a fugitive.
Anyway there’s an alphabet heavy fight on, on the same date with Wardley - Dubois, to keep us entertained.

 

Objectively speaking, a non-boxer is obviously not a tougher opponent than a boxer with 5 years of pro boxing experience and a win over a former world champion.

 

No worse than most of Wilder or Fury's defenses.

 

As others have said, he can do what he likes but this is, in my view, a glorified exhibition rather than a legitimate world title defense. Given that Usyk is not fighting frequently now, the titles should be dropped so the division isn't held up. He can always fight to get them back in the ring.

 

usyk deserves a fury/ngannou level of banana skin for taking this fight if true.
