I'm thinking it's out of Luke Campbell, Matthew Macklin, Martin Murray, John Ryder, Jack Catterall, Kevin Mitchell, John Murray, Joe Joyce, Ryan Rhodes, Jamie Moore

mentions: Michael Gomez, Dillian Whyte, Derek Chisora, Hughie Fury, Anthony Yarde, Mark Hobson, Maxi Hughes

Macklin, Ryder, Campbell, Catterall, H Fury.. should have been crowned World champions in their World title fights imo.

    Might've missed some.

My vote would be for Ryder; not because he is the best of the list, but by rights he should have been world champion and the judging of his fight against Smith was disgusting.

Hmm I'd say Luke Campbell. Great amateur pedigree and gave Linares and Lomachenko (2 proper champions) good fights.

Although I never watched it, he dropped Garcia as well before got stopped by a liver shot, no shame in that happening.

I really thought Mitchell would get there if he lived the life, he was such a skilful fighter when he wanted to be.

Said it many times on here. Hearn prioritised and managed the likes of Bellew, Crolla, Joshua to world titles. He had his faves. Imagine Campbell pound for pound against one of them haha. Crolla fight would have been easy to make, wonder why it was never made. Would have been light work.

Campbell had to do it the hard way, Linares in America, days after dad’s death. Many felt he won it. Away against Garcia. When he dropped that ***** heavily, was a rare time I was off my seat.

Wasn’t a huge fan of Catterall but I thought his performance against Taylor was superb. For that reason alone I’d have him second.

Garcia’s hand speed was just something else. Campbell couldn’t live with it, was his last hurrah, it would have been great.

Campbell and Macklin I think lost fairly in close fights; as for Hughie Fury what he did against Parker could scarcely constitute boxing, it would have been a travesty if he won a strap in that manner. Catterall has a good case to feel aggrieved, but I think the fight was closer than some people portray.

Mini man John Murray couldn’t even knock a woman out recently.

At first I was kinda embarrassed by the list of boxers. And, I don't mean that as a knock down... It's just I look at that list and no one stands out really. Most of them sit at euro level. If anything Campbell, Mitchell, Macklin cos they had balls of steel, win lose or draw.

I dunno why Herol Graham isn't on the list (obvs too old?).

What would be even funnier is a list of boxers that shouldn't have won/held a world title...

There’s plenty of that list who could have been world champions, and who were probably good enough to - Macklin, Mitchell etc.

But the ‘best’ from that selection has to be Campbell, surely.

Hard not to pick Campbell based on that list.

He was in a good division as well, loaded with talent. Was unlucky in the Linares fight

Dare I say it but should Eubsnk Jnr not be on that list ? His IBO nonsense title doesn't count surely.
