It's still not the best thing to say. Optics are very bad.

Yeah, watching it in context, his point appears to be “I have my father with me which is worth more than belts or winning title fights”, rather than “my dad is alive and Usyk’s isn’t”.

I’m not defending Fury because he’s said plenty of stupid **** in the past, but I genuinely didn’t sense any malice with this one, and wouldn’t have thought anything was wrong with it if I hadn’t of known from this thread and some comments below on YouTube that Usyk’s dad had passed, and then consciously made the connection.

He's a gentleman of good Christian stock. Minus the homophobia, anti-semitism, his obsession with money, status, and ego, the failed drug tests, setting the sport back 20 years by nearly losing to an MMA fighter, and his thirst to constantly be in the spotlight, he's a true role model.

Well said mate, his contribution to mental health is messaging a couple of lads on twitter when they are feeling down, I don’t dislike him personally i dislike cheaters liars and frauds but it was him who positioned himself in that category, he looks very confident so he must have smashed a proper cycle into him during his retirement

That’s how I see it, I was ready give him some grief over it but it’s just not like that, I can see how someone would feel like that though because he says everything with such insincerity

That's pretty much every Christian I've ever met. All external show while drowning in their own hypocrisy.

Men's mental health has become a way to sell tickets over the last decade; it's deplorable, and it's not just Fury who has done this, to be fair. If anything, it has made the message worse, because it makes "help" sound too trivial and easy to get. "Just reach out" or "talk to someone" is great, until people do, and suddenly they're paying $800 a month for therapy, going around in circles, thinking it's a silver bullet, and end up skint and back at square one.

I don't knock any fighter for bringing it up in a genuine manner, especially those who volunteer their time and spend money on highlighting it. But when it is used to generate views and engagement online in a little 90 second post-match interview clickbait, it becomes very cynical, and the true purpose is extremely dark once you dig beneath the surface and connect the dots.

Usyk broke Fury worse than Fury broke Wilder. The first fight Wilder was def robbed of a KO but I obviously don’t agree about the accusations of the second fight and excuses. That being said he never stooped that low. I know Fury had an all time high ego. Folks were saying he’s the greatest HW of all time. Then a cruiser beats him twice and basically ends his career. That cruiser is also older than him and has a style that ages worse.

A bit of a reach there tbh, there's enough reasons to dislike Fury without making up false motives.

Why do you think Wilder was cheated out of a KO win?

I agree with the part that although very successful, Usyk can't make big money fights and thus he needs Fury or AJ.

Fury is right, Usyk will ask for a 3rd fight with Fury, and Fury will make him beg.

Point Fury is making is there are more important things in life than a boxing record or belts or medals...it's not him saying Usyks dad is dead haha mine is not.

Clear to see Fury Usyk 3 is going to happen after Fury deals with AJ and Usyk deals with Agit.

    It's possible Usyk will ask...

It seems more likely that Fury will be the one begging.

Either way - Usyk will win clearly again if it happens, we really don't need to see it a third time

The more **** the Gypsy Twat says about Oleksandr The Great, the more he's gonna hurt on fight night. He did lose Daddy precious for a while there though when Big John was intentionally dropping the soap in the Big House.
