    Damn, I forgot all about Korobov. Now I have to watch the Andy Lee fight again.

    And things were pretty much on track for Korobov at that stage, he'd been a slow burner in the background to GGG but he'd had at least one good win on HBO before the Lee fight and the hype was just starting. He let it slip against Lee and that loss seemed to be the excuse for the powers that be to shut him out. The thing with being an EE fighter trying to make it in the US. They will match you hard early, most probably against another undedeated EE/Foreign fighter, to cut the knees out of at least one of them. Then, the first mistake you make they will shut you out. Korobov was a good example, he was shut out for years after the Lee loss. He got a couple of chances later but didn't really get a fair shake on the cards. Injuries also hurt him.

    Haven’t been on this forum much lately but seems weird seeing people talk about Kudryashov and Korobov like they are some forgotten old time’s from many moons ago lol
