Lennox Lewis vs Usyk

Usyk was 37 when he fought Belly and past his prime and had slowed down a lot.

Belly landing that uppercut on Usyk has no bearing on this match up unless you're automatically assuming versatile master boxer Usyk would stand right in front of Lewis and try to walk him down and make himself a much easier target to hit as opposed to boxing and being a constantly moving target.

What do people think Usyk meant when he told Belly he ''won't leave him alone''?

AJ has a very good uppercut but how many times did he land it vs the constantly moving target ''buzzing fly'' Usyk? I'm pretty sure he would've had more success with it if Usyk employed the same game plan as he did vs Belly and he fought a 37 y/o Usyk who was clearly not as quick and agile as he was even at almost 35 vs the version AJ fought in their first fight, let alone the even younger version

Obviously Lewis was a career HW and turned pro younger than Usyk and therefore had a lot more fights at HW

Usyk was almost 33 when he had his first fight at HW

Almost 34 when he had his 2nd

And almost 35 when he had his 3rd one and won his first HW title(s)

He's had 8 fights at HW starting from almost being 33

But Lewis had 11 starting from the same age and then he retired at almost 38 y/o albeit Usyk actually did have 1 fight when he 38 y/o

But when you factor in the trifling matter of Usyk's country having been invaded six months before he even got to make the first defence of his HW titles and being at war throughout his entire reign ever since then, Covid which pushed the Chisora fight back from May to October, injury also delayed it, Belly screwing Usyk around and stalling his career, and Usyk not being a natural HW like Lewis and having to bulk up and put his body through very long and gruelling camps, and having to fight and spar giants and much bigger men which obviously takes more of a toll on your body it's hardly a big difference

If Lewis' country had been invaded when he was 35, there was a pandemic when he was 33 y/o, and he had to bulk up and put his body through very long and gruelling training camps in order to campaign at HW and strengthen his body to deal with fighting much bigger men instead of him usually being the bigger or much bigger man and rarely smaller and literally never much or way smaller do you think he would've had 11 fights in that same timeframe or about the same amount as Usyk did?

You guys do realize that, in complete contrast to Usyk, Lewis was a giant of a man and very often had a big or huge weight advantage, especially during the 2nd half of his career, right? He was only outweighed x 2 in his last 20 fights, 1 by 3lbs, the other by 13lbs vs a 5'11'' 72'' reach journeyman which is the most he was ever outweighed in his career and that was vs a much naturally smaller guy

But even though we, due to Usyk not even moving up to HW until he was almost 33, not winning his first HW title until he was almost 35, and his HW tenure and reign being stalled by all of the aforementioned, have a much smaller sample size of Usyk at HW to go on than we do for career HW Lewis, guess what we also have? We have a much larger sample size of Usyk vs giants and power punching giants than we do of Lewis vs slick southpaws, let alone ones as skilled, elusive, fast, tough and fit as Usyk because we've literally NEVER seen him in with one. We've seen the problems Usyk, all his attributes, and styles have caused these giants in both the pros and WSB and if you don't think they would do the same vs Lewis you DKSAB
