I hope they don't reform the Ali act.

How are people seeing this as a good move or some sort of power play?! Connor Benn is a domestic fighter at best who's best win was a draw vs another domestic fighters retirement fight.

Can't wait to find out what was in those eggs, eddie was basically his lawyer for 2 years

Opetaia and now Benn, two names who could definitely make nice money where they were, I wonder how many more will follow..

The way Hearn backed Benn I certainly didn't see this coming.

I can't quite comprehend what's going on at the moment, there's been a seismic shift in boxing over the past few years, promoters jumping from broadcaster to broadcaster, the rise of celebrity/Misfits boxing. the arrival of the Saudis and all their money. Now Zuffa are here to shake things up again. I have no idea what boxing will look like in the future. If Zuffa are successful will we get more regular world class fights without the politics getting in the way and a definitive champion? Will it not quite work and we end up with just another belt and added politics getting in the way? What will happen to the rest of the promoters? It's all very much up in the air. I don't know if it's ultimately going to be good or bad, but the future will be a rollercoaster!

The would all need to come and work together. That's the antithesis of boxing promoter behavior.

He's a big ticket seller for Matchroom's UK stable and they've invested a lot of time and effort raising his profile. I wouldn't be surprised if Zuffa are doing it just to weaken their opponents and send a message.

This is hilarious after all the effort Eddie and the match room shills put into defending the Ped cheating rat.

Conor potentially playing the dirty ol' game of life in all its glory!...

...The tortured, god fearing, son of a preacher man, who some say lied through his teeth, is now turning his back on the scheming businessman, who had his back during suicidal times. The bleached blonde hair is almost anti-christ like.

You could be right but im sure over here in the UK less than half were behind him after the drugs stuff. Before Eubank I think he had 2 headline events at small venues.

But like you say perhaps meant more to eddie due to his hate of the Eubanks. Stuck behind him, tried to raise his profile etc. Now Zuffa took his pet project regardless of success.

Sports fans are often quick to throw out the "Judas" label for team transfers and what not, and that's just ridiculous imo... But this is definitely a HUGE betrayal.

After all Eddie's done for him too.
    Wow...

That's the antithesis, in general, of MMA promoter behavior as well. Even more so, I would say, since guys from different promotions aren't even allowed to fight each other.

But maybe this is just Dana's plan after all.

8 figures for a one fight deal. How in the hell is that bad move, for as you say, a domestic fighter?!?!

Either did Hearn. Completely blindsided by Zuffa.

Hearn wouldn't be human if he didn't want to strike back at Zuffa. But how? He as already been bad mouthing them with everything he could think of. Where does he go from here?
