Wow, you could tell he wanted to talk about the drug stuff. Funded with hundreds of thousands when Benn had those 2 years out, what a snake.

I meant for Zuffa not Benn. I already knew that drug cheat had no class. Angry little talentless man.

One of the top comments: "Release the Benn files!"

Hearn has shown loyalty to many of his guys, who have shown loyalty back to him, so its not a surprise that Hearn is noticeably hurt by this development. Backed Benn through thick and an thin and then gets a surprise e-mail that Benn has left him for White of all people, has to hurt.

I'm interested about this whole "one fight deal". Could it be from Zufffa's point of view, they've stolen their main rival's biggest UK asset away from them, If he's no good and gets soundly beaten in his fight with them, it doesn't matter as his opponent will also be with Zuffa and will be the one two invest in long term, he will also have his profile elevated if he beats Benn . If Benn wins he will be offered a bigger long term fight deal?

Eddie has never been above telling a fighter to take a deal with another promoter if he cant match the deal but to hear Benn didnt even give him a chance to try to match it is what suprises me. Say what you want about Eddie but he has performed miracles with Benns career and deserved better than that but this is boxing after all.

$15 M for one fight... He had to take that.

One fight deal though? Zuffa just spending Turki's money and passing it off as their own now then...

    Baffles me,

    No british title
    No european title
    No world title
    Drug ban
    29 years old
Biggest fight vs a washed up, weight drained Eubank jr who's also never won a legitimate world title...

Hearns got bigger problems if connors his biggest asset. More of a betrayal of his pet project. Those quotes about loaning him money during that ban etc, priceless. Looked like he was going to cry.

I refuse to believe its real. Zuffa has a reported $100m deal with Paramount, this one fight would cost them 15% of their budget. Sure, Zuffa might also have deals with international broadcasters and a live gate would cover a good chunk of Benn´s purse, but its still too big of a purse for a guy who simply is not that big of a draw.

This is a PPV purse on regular streaming, make it make sense. Then again, Al Haymon got ShowTime to cough up 8 figures for Wilder to fight on regular SHO, I think it was against Breazeale.
Reminds me of Hearn spending millions on Mikey Garcia, getting fights no one asked for and no one remembers.

This signing is also about hitting the competition where it hurts, regardless of cost involved

Yeah it seems like Turki is gonna go on a signing rampage for Zuffa.. SHakur, Ryan Garcia, Rolley, all free agents or about to be...

Turki spending crazy money on ring cards, think he's just gonna merge the entities.

I guess it would make sense in that context, but as an individual signing its baffling.
