Sugar Ray Robinson vs Floyd Mayweather

Floyd made a lot of money from a career of cycling and he is a close second only to the great Lance Armstrong.

 

I'm picking Sugar Ray Robinson in a close fight, though I admire Mayweather's defensiveness.

 

Sugar Ray had too many tools, especially at 147. Ray wins this late, round 10, or 11.

 

2 things that made FM special was the speed and reach advantage. SRR was 5ft 11in with the same reach as FM. SRR was arguably just as fast. FM only has the advantage in defense. SRR was a durable guy with an iron chin. SRR had too much for FM.

 

Robinson could do anything to Mayweather and he wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
