    How did you see Ryan Garcia’s performance in this fight? Do you think his technique, distance control, and punch accuracy were the key factors in such a dominant win, or are there still technical areas he needs to improve despite the clear decision victory?

    He fought a great fight. Barrios probably the worst world champion ever though. But Garcia still looked good.

    Legit 100 percent. Caught him on the top of the head. Maybe the temple or above the eye as well. It was a great shot.

    It's hard for me to say. I thought Garcia would dog-walk Barrios all night as soon as I heard there'd be a fight but I'm no expert on either. I just felt like I'd seen enough that tells me the outcome. When you have that kind of speed against a guy who doesn't react well to it with timing, I feel like Garcia should've had his way with him on paper, no matter where he might lack in any area. Garcia is gifted. And he knows it all too well. I have only seen some clips of this one but they looked about as I thought. They didn't tell me about flaws that were his. Just Barrios'.

    I went to the fights tonight and I was impressed with how sharp Ryan was, happy he won and hope he can stay this dedicated/professional.

    I underestimated Ryan
    I mean I know barrios is the weakest wbc belt holder in recent memory but I expected Ryan to struggle with him.

    Pacquaio almost beat him, and he drew the fight before that too. What made you think hell struggle with Barrios?

    Mayweather will likely fight Ryan after the Tyson exhibition and learn what poor Sugar Ray Leonard learned when he chose Hector Camacho for his return because he thought it would be an easy W.

    Hard to say as Barrios is the definition of bang average and never should of been a world champion in the first place

    Barrios won his world WBA regular title on a hometown robbery decision vs a 7-0 fight novice in which ever so predictably the three US judges robbed the foreigner again

    After defending it against a crab fisherman he lost it via stoppage to Twink

    Barrios moves up to 147 in his next fight and gets schooled by an injury-ravaged inactive Thurman who had fought twice in 5 years and not at all in 2.5 years and who was coming off a loss in his previous fight to an ancient Manny

    Somehow after beating a nobody in his next fight and being 1-2 in his last 3, which should've been 1-3, Barrios is paired up vs a shot Ugas who was coming off a stoppage loss and brutal beating to a post-car crash Spence in his previous fight himself for a shot at the vacant WBC interim belt

    After being promoted to the full champ Barrios lost his last fight in most people's eyes to a 46 y/o shot shell of Manny who literally hadn't fought in 4 years.

    Barrios should be at best 4-4-1 in his last 9 with losses to a 7 fight novice and a shot to bits 46 y/o Manny who hadn't fought in 4 years, and Thurman who hadn't fought in 2.5 years and only twice in 5 years, and Twink

    Make that 4-5-1 now

    Ryan somehow qualified for a title shot off the back of being 1-2 and 1 NC in his last 5 and coming off a one-sided loss to Rolly of all people

    That being said, he did look good last night and his combination of speed and power is a potent weapon.

    Despite his technical flaws, Ryan actually has decent fight IQ, and his good performances are evidence of that.

    Obviously this combined with his freakish athleticism makes him an elite fighter when he’s focused. He’s clearly a bit of a head case (Rolly just psyched him out and froze him) and that’s the biggest problem he has, more so than his technical flaws..

    Ryan can be a tough night for any body, twitchy fighter with a huge punch and an awkward rhythm.

    Barrios isn’t an elite fighter, but he’s also never really been dominated before…

    Definitely not even close to the worst world champion. Maybe at 147? But not for all weights not even close.
