Although this is a Ring card, so might not be the Zuffa 1 fight deal

What a terrible match up. Calls out every big name going - this is what he takes .

Regis is one of my favourite fighters, but I think he’s done at the top level now. He can still bang, but the resistance looks gone, and that’s a horrible mix against a guy like Benn who’ll come out fast and reckless. It’s also a huge launch pad for Conor – he’ll be expected to shine bright here and steal the show.

If Benn really is getting $15m for this then he’s pulled Turki’s and Dana’s pants down, unless the more likely reality is this is just the prelim before he gets fed to someone bigger. The only way Benn lands a huge name is if Zuffa overpay again or manage to snag someone decent out of contract… but who’s actually there?

I can genuinely see Prograis getting done inside a round here, which is depressing to type. Still, part of me hopes he turns back the clock, lands that right hand clean, and Benn just folds.

Ben Shalom getting a few jabs in at Eddie. He has got a point about Whittaker to be fair, Eddie is just not used to this sort of thing happening to him. It's different if he loses a Lawrence Okoie or a Joshua Buatsi as they "don't make any money anyway" But how often has a bigger fish come in and stollen one of their biggest names?

"Frank Smith […] chose Conor Benn over his own brother-in-law and then wants to talk about loyalty"

    Timestamped

That is *glorious* from Shalom. Well played sir.

Some of the MR fans in the comments are hilarious. it's very hard to disagree with all the hypocrisy, so just call him names instead

The replies on twitter probably not what Ring/Zuffa had hoped.

Looking at Tickmaster and the resale sites. It had barely sold 50% so they are clearly getting desperate as there is 0 interest in Fury unless it is AJ or Usyk

Conor Benn is nowhere near the level he thinks he is in his delisional mind, luckily for him his handlers are fully aware. They’ll never match him tough until absolutely necessary.

This cannot be the 1 fight deal surely?!

Will it even generate ticket sale or Netflix subscriptions?

Long overdue to be fair, especially considering his only “win” in 2026 is Fran Hennessy.
