He was robbed in the rematch. Mosley was also using PEDs prior to rematch, at a minimum should have been ruled a NC.
For me the first fight was a clear victory for Mosley, while the rematch was won clearly by De La Hoya.
Lost the first clearly (in a great competitive. high quality fight) but won the second by clearly outboxing a lacklustre Mosley who only came on (too) late. Mosley getting that decision was total BS.
I dont have a scorecard for the 1st fight but I think it's generally accepted that Mosley won a close but clear decision in the region of 7-5 or 8-4. The rematch however ODLH clearly won and was robbed here's my scorecard below. Mosley just wasn't throwing enough punches and any of the rounds he did make competitive ODLH just out punched him. Yes Mosley when he did land did indeed land the harder punches but it was one punch at a time, ODLH for me controlled the fight with his jab despite fading a tad down the stretch. He still out punched Mosley in most of the rounds and deserved to win the fight.
Mosley won the 1st fight clearly, 2nd fight was closer but I thought he won that too. But I wouldn't have argued if they gave it to Hoya. It really was that close.
