Now i've click baited people with the heading, hear me out. He has a good chin, power in both hands, good engine, relentless output and seems to relish a war. He also has fights where he does not look great, but has won. All qualities that Rocky had. Will he end his career undefeated like the Rock, unlikely, but .... Thoughts?

It would be nice if he did. It would be nice if someone did. But Rocky retired at 32, and Fabio is already 31. Shows how far Wardley still has to go to even get mentioned in the same realm. The fighters of the previous era and this one just waste so much time and sit idle during much of their prime fighting years. It's maddening. Fabio's exciting, though. Always a fun watch.

Well, he's 6'5" with a 78" reach, so, no, he's not a Rocky Marciano who can literally only fight one way. If all Wardley ever does is rely on his size and power, that's a waste of a career. Fortunately, he's looking more skilled in each bout, so he's clearly working at improving his game. If I were his trainer, I'd have him constantly sparring. Even when not in camp. Against the best pure boxer types I can find. Improve his game. I'm not worried about Wardley up against a crude slugger, he's got that covered; I'm worried about a guy like Huni boxing his face off and managing to avoid being tagged for 12 rounds. Right now, closest Wardley is to is Wilder. Except Wardley seems willing to learn and is improving. DDD? Man that's going to be interesting. DDD is far better technically. But DDD has quit and seems to get discouraged / frustrated; these are things that Wardley does not have an ounce of in him. And I don't think Wardley is going to go down easy like AJ did. I think if DDD catches him, Wardley is going to go beast mode and get him right back. And DDD has been KO'd by Usyk, who is like two power classes below Wardley.
