And wgaf about loyalty? Can you spend that? If loyalty mattered as much to Hearn as it does to fighters, why does Hearn lowball his fighters? Hearn uses loyalty as a way to guilt and lowball fighters. Good on Benn doing what was best for him.

And I ALWAYS have and always will rain down on Wilder for "betting on himself" and making less money. If Hearn had been black he wouldve signed w Hearn, but Wilder's racist ass refused to sign w a white man even for more money. Thats why those Fury fights are even more precious. Wilder sees nothing but color and cant process, to this day, that a white man beat him. Its pathetic and cringe on mulitple levels.

I think this would apply in a normal situation but this group are obviously paying well over market value to fighters to get them.

I doubt most promotional businesses can afford to keep up with such offers as they expect a return on their investment.

the large company intending to destabilise the industry and monopolise aren’t as interested in their return as they have income from other revenues.

You do know he has Shelly finkle (white man) as his main longstanding trusted advisor.

    Why play race card?

    Hi Guys.
From my perspective, Benn should be ashamed of himself, I hold no brief for Hearn, but he stood by Benn at his most distraught and worrying time, regards the did he , didn't he, Hearn was there for him, apparently loaned him some money, so I see this as a brutal and undignified, betrayal, never was a fan of Benn, less so now, will be intersting to see how his career pans out.
    Mike.

Conor’s commercial pull was never about belts or rankings it was about the surname. Before riding the momentum of his father’s legacy, he hadn’t built anything on his own befoe Eubank Jr. Small‑hall shows, no stadiums, no major arenas, no headline nights. Broadcasters only throw big money at title fights, and the fact Matchroom never released PPV numbers before Eubank says everything; they publish strong figures the moment they have them. He’s never even had basic viewership data made public.

He was a prospect with a famous name, not a headliner and certainly not a broadcaster’s priority. His biggest spike in commercial value came from a failed drug test, which tells its own story.

And now Zuffa have him fighting Prograis on the undercard of Tyson Fury, who hasn’t boxed since 2024. Not even the B‑side. Just another name on the poster. I get the vibe Dana's just splashing someone else's money to annoy Hearn :D

“Some random start up” … backed with the Saudi’s millions

    yeah.

He just delivered him the 2 biggest pay days of his career against Eubank.

He’s the best managed fighter I can think of. He’s earned millions and millions without fighting anyone, Eubank was a ghost.

Oh and he also loaned Benn money when he was broke and couldn’t fight… how many promoters have done that

    Eddie wasn’t paying him?
Benn, who has done absolutely nothing significant in the sport and hasn’t even won an area title, reportedly walked away with £16 million for the 2 Eubank fights.
I can’t think of a fighter who has ever been better promoted and rewarded for achieving so little.

    You’ve lost me mate.

The point I was replying to was that Hearn wasn’t paying Benn.

Eh he was paying him but whose to say what Hearn paid was the most Benn couldve gotten. Had Benn been matched better maybe he gets better opportunities, more lucrative opportunities. Why didnt Benn get Pacquiao or Crawford? Why was he on the outside looking in?

If Benn had been matched better (in the paying publics eyes) he'd have multiple losses
Thus no Zuffa deal would ever have been offered

I dont agree. At 147, Benn is live versus all the top WWs of yesteryear. I think Benn beats Danny, is a toss-up with Porter and Spence. I dont like the style matchup with Bud or Thurman, but Thurman could be hurt. Benn would be live w old Manny.

Hearn did such an excellent job in promoting Benn, it’s got you believing the above.
