Do Cotto, Mayweather, Judah really belong at Welter or are they too small?

Do Cotto, Mayweather, and Judah all really belong at Welter or are they just too small?

    Just a question...

It is clear that these guys are at least afraid of facing the bigger guys in the division. Cotto did, and simply got a beat down from a bigger more powerful guy.

Should these guys all really be in the JWW division (or at least stayed there longer), but have been drawn to the prestige, and greater money in the WW division? These guys are class but perhaps they are simply too small to truly dominate this division? Is size difference preventing potential division match ups?

It's just a question, a thought, I'm not saying it's wright or wrong! That them being at Welter is good or bad... it's just a thought...

Are there any other examples of boxers people can think of at WW, or any weight division for that matter with class boxers at a weight class they perhaps don't belong.

PBF and Zab are really small welters. Cotto is short but stocky but a legit WW he needed the move up because he couldn't make 140 anymore. PBF and Zab could make 140 easily still.

Cotto's in a real bind, in that he said that he could no longer make JWW, but obviously is too small to take on a Margarito (who's probably a natural SMW with the ability to make 147lbs) or probably even a Paul Williams. As for other fighters not belonging in their chosen weightclass: Joe Calzaghe at LHW.

I disagree that Margo is a natural SMW more like a natural JMW with the size to possibly fight at MW.

Judah is too small, I beleive Mayweather is better suited for the JWW division but his overall skills set pay the bills so he can fight at the weight class. Cotto is kind of stuck, too short for the weight class, even tghough he seems stocky enough, but can n longer make 140 with out damaging his body.

doh, that's what I meant to type, JMW. My bad. SMW would be pushing it. Kessler v Margarito? I don't think so.

Hard to tell with Floyd cuz he wont fight a real WW.. He did fiGHT and beat Dela at JM, so saying he isnt a WW, well...there is room for argument there.

Zab needs to go down to 140 and run things.. he has big fights there and can be on top IMO.

I think Floyd and Zab should be at 140, they would clean up the division.

    Zab v Malignaggi
    Zab v Hatton
Those could be great fights. But then, I thought Zab was ahead of Clottey when the fight was stopped.

i agree Cotto is fine at 147lbs but Zab and Mayweather would both clean out the 140lbs division.

Floyd has shown no signs that he's too small for any weight. He could clean out every division from 130-154.

I agree but I feel that his best weight would be 140.
