Since Hagler vs Leonard sticks out, with Hagler starting off orthodox; Leonard trying to infight with Duran wasn't too bright either. Got it right in the rematch though.

I actually thought that Danny Jacobs had a very good strategy against GGG a lot of us expected him to get KO'd like he did in the Pirog fight but he recovered from the knock down in the 4th and used the skills that made him a good amateur to keep the fight some what competitive. Ultimately he lost but it was a good effort considering how dangerous GGG was at the time. You could see the mental exhaustion Danny had after the final bell. He pushed GGG closer than roided up Canelo did in the first fight in my opinion.

Oscar and Loma threw their titled away. Worst game plans ever.

Danny Green vs Beyer II. Gave him way too much respect.

The bad example I remember is Chris Byrd against Wladimir the second time. There was no way he was going to win that fight anyway but he went a little crazy, saying "I'm gonna walk him down!" and acting like he was the bigger guy. First time they fought Byrd's skills were able to stretch things out into a decision. But his bizarre strategy or whatever in the second fight got him flattened TKO 7.

A good or at least effective strategy in a fight between two punchers was Tommy Morrison's decision to box George Foreman rather than go punch for punch. The crowd didn't like it but it won him the fight and the WBO belt. Foreman would have to wait almost another year and a half to finally get his turn against Michael Moorer...after he'd lost twice in earlier championship fights during his comeback against Holyfield in 91 and Morrison in 93.

Amir Khan trying to bomb Danny Garcia out…

Canelo throwing one punch at a time as hard as he could and acting like he was the bigger/stronger guy vs Bivol.

Anthony Joshua giving up his incredible reach advantage trying to finish a guy with T-rex arms by comparison in Ruiz Jr.

Got himself clipped, dropped and stopped.
