Not sure how DB will look at CW. Will he be a pudgy version of himself? Will he still hold the same stamina and speed in his punches? As of now I got to go with the natural CW Jirov in a war.
Benavidez is one hell of a fighter but I'm not ready to favor him just yet over a prime Jirov. I think this a fantastic fight on paper with Benavidez's fast hands and Jirov's physicality and body work. At the end of the day, I still haven't seen Benavidez fight a guy that he wasn't the stronger man physically. Too me, Jirov is significantly the bigger and stronger man and I think that has a big impact. I think Benavidez wins a lot of rounds in this fight and might even be far ahead when Jirov's grinding body work start to break Benavidez down, stopping him late. Some folks forget what physical guy Jirov was in his prime. He busted up a lot of good fighters and had a rep for being a guy that really damaged opponents. I know Toney went to the hospital after beating Jirov.
