Usyk's Last 3 Fights

People expecting a 39 y/o, who has clocked boxing and has achieved everything they have the hard way in their opponent's backyard or on the road, whilst taking on the best, fellow champs, the highest rated contenders, and tough touches pretty much exclusively B2B often as the B side and not fought any soft touches sans very late notice sub Witherspoon, whilst giving away huge size advantage at HW, unlike so many of current or recent multi-weight champs beating opponents his size or much bigger not smaller, much or way smaller, and run a murderer's row of savage punchers and legit bangers not just his size but much or way bigger than him, with zero use of dirty or illegal tactics and conducting himself in a borderline saintly manner throughout and being one of the most honourable fighters ever, to conduct his career the same way he would in his prime even though he's well past his prime and on the way out and has achieved everything he could achieve and anyone could ask of a fighter, again, in a manner few others have done or would do.

His style relies on speed, athleticism, reflexes and reaction times and movement all of which diminish with age and he's campaigning in a division full of giants, savage punchers, savage punching giants and almost all the top ones are a lot or way younger than him and in their primes and or much fresher.

I've been telling you all this for years. Usyk has slowed down a lot and even though he's still been a step ahead in terms of speed reflexes and reaction times he's declined in those departments a lot and the gap is narrowing by the day

He's been playing Russian roulette facing all these savage punchers, legit bangers, giants, savage punching giants, and I get that many thirst to see him lose but continuing to so at 39 y/o on a deck stacked against him is suicidal

 

Wlad was not only a career and natural HW he was an absolutely murderous punching, one of the hardest and destructive HWs in the history of the HW division, giant SHW sized HW who was fighting guys his size, smaller or way smaller not way bigger and the last time he won a fight he was a month younger than Usyk is now.

I've also been telling people forever that even though Wlad was still in great shape, athletic, extremely powerful and dangerous by that stage of his career he'd slowed down at lot too. Prime Wlad would've KO'd both Belly, AJ and Jennings. He's 0-2 vs Belly and AJ, fighters he's better than but lost to due to Father Time tag-teaming up with them.

Again, only 2 HWs in the history of the division have won a world title fight at the age is Usyk now or older and those 2 fighters were iron-jawed 245-255 + giants with extremely high KO% not blown up CWs who rely on speed, reflexes, reaction times, agility and movement facing giants. Father Time gets them all and his success rate and resume vs fighters in their mid to late 30 is off the charts.

Look at his hand speed here, especially how quickly he puts the shots together. Look at his jab. The accuracy. This is just one example but you just have to watch any version of him in his prime

I can see that. Fabio has expressed interest in fighting Belly after Dubois, providing he gets by him that is. In fact, he seems well up for it and I gather Belly is too. To be honest, I like that fight myself it's one of many interesting match ups which can be made at HW. But I think Fabio will be more interested in facing Usyk after Dubois now that he's #2 on Usyk's hitlist.

The landscape can change so quickly though. We could see Belly vs Dubois if the later beats Fabio and that could set up the trilogy. If Belly beats either or even Kabayel (which I think there's a much slimmer chance of happening because they're friends, Belly helped Kabayel out a lot and got him on the Saudi cards IIRC, and they share the same manager), no one could really complain about the trilogy fight with Usyk for Usyk's final fight
