I love Tim but Ike was competitive with some of the best and was as tough as teak.

I got Ike in the later rounds after Tim has some good moments.

Ike Quartey stops Tim Tszyu within 8 rounds and it wouldn't be competitive at all.

Ike Quartey only fought at Junior Middle six times. He went 3 and 3.

Timmy's record in America is 1 and 3 so there's certainly room for improvement.

I'd go with Quartey by decision, with a wide margin. The Ghanaian's jab would have dictated the tempo and distance, De La Hoya suffered for long stretches from that jab, I don't think Tszyu would have suffered less. Quartey put up a very close fight against the prime De La Hoya (in my opinion, the verdict could have gone to either of them) and even at the end of his career he demonstrated his skills at super welterweight against Forrest (that was a robbery, I still remember Quartey's face when Forrest was declared the winner). In my opinion Quartey was a superior fighter to Tszyu (and he had a better career, Tim is still active, but I think his best days are behind him).

Ike for me too. Maybe things could have been different for Tim if not for that cut vs Fundora. But he's a different fighter from that night. Ike too strong.

Man, if Tim just had better defense I'd pick him, but Ike's jab would land a lot. I slightly favor Ike because of the great jab and Tim's poor defense.
