    Hi everyone,

I’d like to share a documentary I recently finished about one of the most underrated fighters of his era — Winky Wright.

The film covers his full career, from his early years fighting abroad to becoming the undisputed champion at junior middleweight. It also includes a detailed technical breakdown of his style — his high guard defense, jab, ring IQ and some of his biggest fights against fighters like Shane Mosley, Felix Trinidad, Bernard Hopkins and Jermain Taylor.

Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback from fellow boxing fans.

He was one of my favorite fighters. Hard puzzle for other fighters to figure out, and although one dimensional ... fighting southpaw and controlling just about every fight with a single right jab was crazy to watch . . especially the way Trinidad was completely shut down by it

Toward the end of his career he kind of turned into a cry baby and that was disappointing to see, but I view him as one of the best defensive greats of our time.

He was a great technician. It was extremely impressive the way he totally shut down Trinidad who barely won 10 seconds of any round let alone a whole round. Winkey had a very good career despite being very conservative in the ring which limited his power and box office appeal.

Very underrated. Trouble was that he lacked a natural charisma (in the sense that he wasn't particularly arrogant) and was surrounded by very charismatic (and world class) fighters, so didn't always get the flowers he deserved.

Winky was one of my faves. Just wished he had accepted Oscar's offer for a fight. At the time, would have been a career high payday. But I suspect he wanted closer to what Oscar offered others for fights.

Great documentary. I didnt know winky started boxing so late at 16 I thought he started much earlier. I always thought winky beat Taylor barely but I thought he won same with Vargas. Great work thanks for posting.

One of my favs for sure

Really misguided his career at the end starting with not taking the Taylor rematch for the belts

I’ll watch it for sure later tonight
