I know there is one of these every week but just wanted to get a feel for who everyone is liking right now and who are their favourites of alltime. Mine: Current- Wlad, Arreola and Danny Williams in no real order. Alltime- Commander Evander, Ali and Joe Louis again in no real order.
I can't stand todays heavyweights, but Arreola shows promise, at least he FIGHTS. Wlad is the most fun to watch, because he may just annihilate his opponent or get blasted himself. And I love the deer in the headlights look he gets when he's hurt and reeling around the ring. And I guess my current least hated heavyweight would have to be Vitali, because , again, **** happens when he steps into the ring. From the past my favorites are Marciano, because he was one in a million fighter with a punch that could drop a Hippo. He bled from a dirty look, and often looked clumsy and akward, but could end any fight with one single dramatic swat. Joe Frazier too, because he won the biggest fight ever , with an awesome performance, and the way he slung that left hook gave me goosebumps. Jerry Quarry as well, not because I confuse him with being great, but an honest performer in an era of great heavyweights and just a cool guy that was fun to watch.
all-time: Jack Johnson, Max Schmeling, Floyd Patterson current: none but to name three: Wlad, Ruiz, Chagaev
current: Vitali, Wlad and ... Rahman I guess I am getting annoyed with Wlads style though, its boring as ****. He used to use both hands and be more exciting back before the Brewster fight and before Stewart trained him. Vitali was exciting as **** to watch and hopefully he is in good shape when he returns. The rest of heavyweight is boring as **** i dont really like any of them much. Past: Foreman, Ali, Max Schmeling? or Lewis? Foreman was a ****ing beast back in the day and his comeback was inspiring. Ali was so slick and had such showmanship and worked the crowd like no other. Plus his resume is top notch and he could back up all his talk. I dont know who else to list so I guess Max Schmeling. He seemed like a stand up guy and i felt bad he had the Nazis behind him pressuring him as he wasnt involved in that. Lewis... I am begining to miss when we had a dominate champ and he was fighting everyone and winning. He doesnt really have charisma but he has great power and good skills especially for his size. Alot of good highlight KOs too. I find it strange I cant list that many heavyweights I like. I guess i just like the other divisions better like welterweight and middleweight where there were so many great fighters.
Domestic all time: Cooper, Mason, London World all-time: Patterson, Holmes, Frazier, with Ali, Louis and Rocky close. Now: Danny Williams, Vitali Klitschko, Ruiz or Chagaev. so hard.
Current: Lamon Brewster, Alexander Povetkin and Wladimir Klitschko All time: Joe Louis, Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali (hard to pick three)
Joe Frazier Joe Walcott Joe Louis David Haye.... Man, I don't know. I'm not particularly fond of any of the current heavyweights.
