More often than not, fighters **** the bed when they fight in their home town - Taylor against Catterall or Williams against Rosario are recent examples. Cacace probably wanted a slower paced bout, not to let the moment get him and let the fight slip away. However, he underperformed tonight, IMO.

You might think it was the right thing for him to do financially or whatever but he still vacated a belt so that he could avoid fighting a mandatory to take an easier fight. He chose to no longer be champion because he didn't want to fight who he had to fight. Since when is that not a duck?

 

Canelo, mayweather, crawford even Usyk and Fury - gave up belts instead of facing mandatorys- all duckers ? You haven't a clue how boxing/business works and risk/ award ratio. Cop onto yourself Nunez - I would have made Nunez a favourite against Cacace but after the trimming he got last week- he was not as good as everyone had thought

 

If those fighters ducked fights then yes they are ducks. I don’t get what’s so hard about that. And just because other boxers do it doesn’t mean it’s not true here. If you like Cacace then fair, but by definition he’s ducked Nunez and Ford blatantly.

Also totally irrelevant who you think wins to if it is a duck. Like saying Canelo couldn’t’ve ducked Benavidez because you think Canelo would win.
