From the famously loyalist Andys Town that he tells us every fight.

    He's a republican.

Are the peace walls still a thing in Belfast or is there more mixing now? Could one go and live in the others area etc?

Yeah there still there and can be pretty annoying if you're following google maps at the wrong time.

There's still areas on both sides the other couldn't live, but no where near as many as the height of the troubles.

I'm a middle class little ***** myself so don't live in one of those areas.

Yeah, the socialist angle really doesn't work when the team is built on a global fanbase, and tickets cost an arm and a leg, especially corporate ones. The same could be said for the whole league, really. It's now corporate fantasy football rather than extensions of the local community. I know plenty of local LFC fans who stopped going years ago.

I haven't lived in Liverpool for a very long time, to be honest, but booing the national anthem has always been about scousers saying down with the monarchy and the establishment rather than a blanket statement about being anti-English. The fact that the English are so obtuse about it and take it as a personal slight has always fascinated me. Recent developments with the Royals have proven that this sentiment is unequivocally the right stance.

Haha! Everton do have a lot of Welsh fans, I'll give you that. What possesses anyone to support Everton from outside of Liverpool, I'll never know. They need their heads checked. Still not as many fans in Wales as the Tricky Reds, though.

You are bang on about everything there mate haha, especially about the English/establishment thing, how me and people I know feel anyway. You can’t blame people feeling that way either. I remember growing up and everyone being massively invested in England winning in the tournaments. I don’t think it’s an anti English thing at all, I think people who don’t want to understand because they don’t like the city and see it as a negative. People from Liverpool have got confused as well. I do know a lad who used to go the England games though but Germany World Cup in 06 was the last straw. He said it’s just constant anti Liverpool stuff from the fans.

Love a bit of history. It’s mental that people in Belfast can’t live where they want.
