    Some great fights.

I’d add Moore vs Macklin, Moore vs Jones, can’t remember which on they had a couple and also Alex Arthur vs Michael Gomez.

George Feeney-Ray Cattouse has to be one of the most punishing fights you´ll ever see.
Rocky Kelly-Tony Brown was another crowdpleaser. Rocky Kelly had quite a few wars(vs Chris Sanigar, Kostau Petrou, Dave Dent)

    Hi Fred.
One of thee best small hall fights I have ever seen was Kelly's fight against Gary Knight in 1982 at Bloomsbury, pretty sure it was a very early Warren promotion, both hit the floor more than once, Knight was of gypsy heritage, and was a very competent box/fighter, my hands were sore at the final bell, Knight got a narrow decision win, and pretty soon fell into obscurity, while Rocky went on to more exciting and harder fights, sadly and not for the first time, I met him at York Hall many years ago, and he was a not in a good place, slurring his speech, incoerent, and had no recall of the fight with Knight, told me he was a black cab driver at the time, so at least he had some income, I said goodbye with a tinge of sadness, twas ever thus.
    stay safe buddy, chat soon.
    Mike.

Henry Akinwande vs Johnny Nelson has to be up there for me. Don't think anyone left the bar for that one – great night. Caught the replay when I got home… perfect cure for insomnia.

    Hi Mike,
    Sad to hear.

Kelly was a real warrior, gave it his all in the ring.
I always wanted to see him against the overrated George Collins but Warren was astute enough to avoid that.

Fellow prospect Dave Dent´s manager wasn´t so smart and ended up with a bruising loss.

Rocky was unlucky to run into the granite Kostau Petrou and the enigmatic Kirkland Laing on one of his best nights.

Rocky can take pride in winning the Southern Area title, retaining it 3 times and fighting twice for the British title.

Brave never say die fighter who gave us some terrific nights of boxing.
