Murat Gassiev targeting Zhang, Hrgovic and Itauma for next fight.

He can target whoever he wants... Unless they're interested and can make a deal, it doesn't happen.

Hrgovic would be an interesting one - it'd tell us what potential Gassiev has, if any, to work upwards... There's loads of space at the top, but you've gotta get past the gates first.

 

Gassiev vs Zhang would be amazing.

Gassiev could hardly lay a glove on Otto Wallin, he won't get near the longer, stronger, Hrgovic.

Itauma has shown much more ability at the weight Gassiev already.

Zhang is the only interesting one, because Zhang is only dangerous for probably 6 rounds and if the fight goes beyond that you would expect Gaz to win, however, Gassiev's pressure style suits the counter-punching Zhang very nicely. I could definitely see Gassiev getting slept early, in a fight In which would favour chinese power marginally.

 

Gassiev vs:

• Hrgovic: Gassiev by KO
• Zhang: Gassiev by KO
• Itauma: Itauma by KO

 

Zhang is probably the most winnable and exciting on paper.

 

Gassiev would lose to all of them to be honest.

I don't think Gassiev has the work rate or the reach to catch-up to them, unless it proves Itauma has a glass chin which is a huge possibility.

 

None of them. Makhmudov would be good.

 

The WBA already has Itauma #1. Moses could have had this fight if he wanted it, and, according to Gassiev's team, the phone lines are silent.

If all goes well for Moses and he proves himself against Franklin, and if he wants it, this is the fight. If not, of those names, I think Hrgovic is the best option.

If the Moses fight happens, I will bet anything the WBA will suddenly find some outrage over the Rico fight, strip Usyk, and declare the winner of Moses-Gassiev the full champion.
