A fun fight where I see Butler winning by KO.

Butler did have a nice winning streak and was a ranked contender before showing up out of shape against Lennox Lewis, I'd still make Briggs a slight 60/40 favorite though.

I would love to have seen Butler vs Bert Cooper that one would be entertaining.

If Darroll Wilson laid Briggs out in 3 rounds than Lionel Butler could do it since he was roughly on the same level as WIlson but hit harder. Wilson however was a disciplined fighter, Butler wasn't. But unless he comes grossly overweight (as he often did) it's 50/50 fight

Totally agree. While Briggs wasn’t in his prime in the Wilson fight, he still kept many bad habits. So Butler, in his prime (1992–1994), has a strong possibility of knocking him out in the first four rounds.
