We all know that Joseph Parker KO'd a 315lb Martin Bakole who gave him trouble in the first round, and was literally a 48hr late replacement for Daniel Dubois. A shame that Parker wasnt able to fight for the heavyweight world title then, but if Bakole had an actual training camp with enough prep to face a world-class opponent in Parker, could he have beaten him?

Nah, too experienced with a proven chin.

Being a "sparring champion" doesn't win fights, and there's a reason he hasn't really fought a proper opponent since.

No. He's a glorified bum whose level should be fighting carnival fat men in high school gyms in Yemen

Bakole struggled against Ajagba... he was massively overhyped on here due to these overblown silly rumours.

Even the prepared version of Bakole loses on points against Parker...

With a proper camp it's a 60/40 fight in Parkers favour

Wouldn't have been shocked at all of Bakole beats him in such a scenario

Has Bakole ever had a rigid training camp? He constantly comes to the ring looking like he's been obliterating KFC's for 6 weeks solid. It would've been a much closer fight, definitely. Parker would've got drawn into a shootout as well, as he did vs Wardley. His inability to stick to a gameplan is often his biggest flaw. Bakole has the talent but he doesn't have the temperament or conditioning, and you really can't have one without the other when you get to the top of the division. I'd still fancy Parker to beat him but in a very competitive fight.

Any word on if Bakole is fighting anytime in the foreseeable future ? Not heard a peep from him.

He hasn't fought in nearly a year. I hate to think of the state of him now.

    Another waste of decent talent.

I thought he stopped Usyk in sparring? That’s enough cred to suggest he’d definitely have done better maybe stopped Parker the same way he stopped Usyk
