Ken Norton by decision, To be honest, he's on another level. Ibragimov was better than Maskaev that's sure, but not good as Chagaev/Povetkin; he hasn't proven himself enough in his career, even though he had high potential. And he's neither a puncher nor a pressure fighter to trouble Norton, in addition Ibragimov is a little bit robotic for Norton.
Have you even watched more than one fight of Ibragimov. 17 KO's from 22 victories and only 1 defeat to an ATG. Ibragimov was an swarming, aggressive, boxer-puncher who had great combinations, very good hand speed, solid chin and solid power in both hands. He didn't lack in any of the major physical categories.
The opposition of Ibragimov was weak, he's too robotic in his combinations, he's not like Earnie Shavers or Povetkin who can surprise Ken Norton by the Ring IQ, the pressure and the agressivity. Ibragimov look like Shishkin, who looked like a puncher but had very robotic boxing approaches; we immediately saw that his power was decent, but he was far from being in the top 10 of the Super Middleweight. Ibragimov was the same; he did a draw against Ray Austin, who was destroyed in two rounds by Wladimir Klitschko and in six rounds by Bermane Stiverne...
@Macedoine62 Well I disagree with everything you wrote. And Ibragimov cannot be compared to Shishkin. Ibragimov was both a top amateur and top pro.,Olympic Silver Medalist and WBO world champion. Very talented and slick. Had good wins over Whittaker, Briggs, and Holyfield He just happened to be in the era where one of the greatest heavyweight to live was dominating. Or he would have had a longer reign. I see him as better than Chagaev. And at least the same level.. arguably better than Povetkin
