Adam Catterall is a TW*T!

It's not easy to stick it to a professional boxer about something like drugs. But if you know you are not about that, refuse the interview. Like him or loathe him Simon Jordan is asking Benn about the drug chests or lack of legal action. Going to be very difficult to come back from this reputation ally.

 

Catterall has built his entire brand around zero BS and informed opinions - Fight Disciples exists on that premise, it's what grew the audience and what got him the TalkSport and TNT gigs in the first place. Yet he keeps proving that for the right price or the right exposure he can be bought. He took DK's money in the past and now Conor, who's guaranteed views in the attention economy, gets a free pass too. Rather than push him on everything he's said publicly over the last three years, he chose to nosh him off under the TalkSport banner hoping the audience would be too stupid to notice. They weren't.

Now he's scrubbing his content hoping nobody clips his previous stances against everything he just nodded along to. At least with the YouTube guys and telemakers you know exactly what you're getting. People like Catterall give real journalists a bad name - but according to Elon anyone with a phone is a citizen journalist now, so maybe that's the level we're all operating at.

Exact reason why independent outlets like Boxing News need to stay in business - otherwise the sport just becomes a voicepiece for whoever holds the money. We've seen this playbook everywhere. X is Elon's megaphone, TruthSocial is Trump's, and Zuckerberg owns the rest. Boxing doesn't need another captured platform dressed up as independent media.

 

I can’t stop laughing at this. I’ve been slated for years by boxing fans for cclaiming that Catterall is a sleaze and useless “journalist”. He’s basically just a fan with a big gob and platform. His face, tone, accent, and shillery, coupled with his Stone Island jumpers, just make me turn off. This is so satisfying to see him really reveal himself.

 

So did Conor Benn know that Adam Catterall used to slate him?

I'm guessing Benn didn't know? Cause he's an emotional, angry guy. He probably wouldn't have wanted him to interview him.

 

All these clowns are not journalists.

Real journalists that cover boxing would be someone like Riath Al Samarrai or Matt Lawton.

 

Adam & his mate have always been numpties. Paint themselves as the moral compass of boxing yet abandon their principles as soon as they get offered a bit of cash. No qualms with that, it’s a job, just cut the bollocks out lads.

Stopped paying attention to them after the whole "cheat" nonsense around Catterall-Taylor 1. Taylor should have taken them to court over that.

 

Josh pulled Catterall up on that & he absolutely bricked it. Started sucking up to him straight away calling him a proper champ etc.

 

Imagine they'd said it about Warren. They'd have been served papers before the podcast aired!

 

Shame, I liked listening to him on Talk Sport years ago, and I like his MMA stuff.
